Digital Story

My digital story project is based around a quote from John F. Kennedy, "Let us think of education, as the means of developing our greatest abilities, because in each of us there is a private hope and dream, which fulfilled, can be translated into benefit for everyone and greater strength of the nation." My main point was to focus on some of the past, but realize what the future may hold. I really like the photo story project and I know when I am a teacher, I'll be using this tool. It's really easy and fun to compose and I know students will enjoy it.
I believe that the ISTE.NETS-T and my video both promote student reflection using collaborative tools to reveal and clarify students' conceptual understanding and thinking, and creative processes.
I feel like teachers can use this tool as a tool for research and instead of writing a paper, this would be a useful alternative that is more fun than just writing a boring paper.
Wanting to be a math teacher, I could certainly use this tool to put up multiplication problems and have the kids try to answer the questions fast before the next question pops up. There are so many ideas that can come from this great idea and I can't wait to explore more possibilities.

  1. Great job connecting the ISTE nets with digital storytelling. Using digital stories in math would certainly engage students and provide a new strategy for learning multiplication.
